These requirements cover Nos. 14 – 4/0 AWG and 213- 2000 kcmil sizes of Types XHHW-2, XHHW, XHH, RHW-2, RHH, RHW, SIS, and SA for use in accordance with Article 310 and other applicable parts of National Electrical Code. Deep-well pump cables and other multiple-conductor assemblies to which a type-letter designation is not assigned are included in these requirements.
These requirements do not cover wires or cables for use at potentials higher than 2000 V.
Although these requirements cover parallel and cabled assemblies of two or more insulated conductors, they do not cover complete armored (AC series), metal-clad (Type MC), medium-voltage (Type MV), or service-entrance (Types SE and USE) cables. These cables are covered in separate requirements.
