a) Have a shelf that is more than 39.4 inches (1 m) above the floor,
b) Are intended for use with products covered by the Standards for Photographic Equipment, UL 122; Commercial Audio Equipment, UL 813; Radio Receivers, Audio Systems, and Accessories, UL 1270; Low-Voltage Video Products Without Cathode-Ray-Tube Displays, UL 1409; Televisio n Receivers and High-Voltage Video Products, UL 1410; Professional Video and Audio Equipment, UL 1419; or Audio-Video Products and Accessories, UL 1492, and
c) Are intended for use in schools, institutions, hospitals or similar locations where children o r diminished capacity or disabled persons are likely to move them or may be asked to move them.
These requirements do not apply to any electrical circuitry that may be integral to, or provided with, a tall institutional cart. The requirements of th e Standard covering the electrical appliance intended to be used with a tall instituti onal cart shall be applicable to any electrical circuits in the tall institutional cart. Electrical devices shall comply with the requirements for such devices. For example , attachment plugs and receptacles shall comply with the req uirements in the Standard for Attachment Plugs and Receptacles, UL 498. Where the requirements of more than one Standard are applicable, the most severe requirements shall apply.
A product that contains features, characteristics, components, materials, or systems new or different from those in use when the Standard was developed, and that involves a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons, shall be evaluated using the appropriate additional component and end-product requirements as determined necessary to mai ntain the level of safety for the user of the product as originally anticipated by the intent of this Standard.
