IEEE Standard for Local and metropolitan area networks — Bridges and Bridged Networks – Amendment 25: Enhancements for Scheduled Traffic
This amendment specifies time-aware queue-draining procedures, managed objects and extensions to existing protocols that enable bridges and end stations to schedule the transmission of frames based on a synchronized time. Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) tag encoded priority values are allocated allowing simultaneous support of scheduled traffic, credit-based shaper traffic and other bridged traffic over Local Area Networks (LANs).
