VOB (German: “Vergabe- und Vertragsordnung fur Bauleistungen”) is the standard reference work for the construction industry with an influence extending far beyond Germany. It governs the award of construction contracts (Part A), sets out conditions of contract relating to the execution of construction work (Part B), and describes good building practice for the many trades making up the construction sector (Part C): information that is essential for architects, engineers, the trades, construction companies, building authorities and manufacturers of construction materials and components.
English translations of all 66 documents making up the 2012 edition are available in compact folders. Alongside important changes to Parts A and B, seven documents in Part C have been revised to keep abreast of new technical developments, two new documents, on unexploded ordnance and renovation work on drainage channels, have been incorporated, while another 29 documents have been editorially revised.
