Nonrefillable (Disposable) Type Fuel Gas Cylinder Assemblies

Scope
1.1 These requirements cover nonrefillable cylinder assemblies for use with propane, Methylacetylene-Propadiene, Stabilized (MPS-Gas), and propylene.
1.2 Nonrefillable cylinder assemblies covered by these requirements are used with equipment for such purposes as, and not limited to, camping, cooking, heating, lighting, soldering, or brazing, and as covered in the following standards:
- Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code, NFPA 58-2004.
- Standard for Hand-Held Torches for Fuel Gases, UL 147.
- Portable Catalytic Camp Heaters for Use with Propane Gas, ANSI Z21.62-1977(1992).
- Portable Type Gas Camp Heaters, ANSI Z21.63-2000.
- Portable Type Gas Camp Stoves, ANSI Z21.72-2000.
- Portable Type Gas Camp Lights, ANSI Z21.73-2000.
- Portable Refrigerators for Use with HD-5 Propane Gas, ANSI Z21.74-1992 (1998).

1.3 Methylacetylene-Propadiene, Stabilized (MPS-Gas) used in nonrefillable cylinder assemblies shall be as defined in the Standard for the Design and Installation of Oxygen-Fuel Gas Systems for Welding, Cutting, and Allied Processes, NFPA 51-2002.
