This is the third edition of CSA P.5, Test method for measuring per-cycle energy consumption, energy factor, and low power mode energy consumption of residential gas clothes dryers. It supersedes the previous editions, published in 1997 and 1993 under the title Testing Method for Measuring Per-Cycle Energy Consumption and Energy Factor of Domestic Gas Clothes Dryers.
Scope
1.1
This Standard specifies the test method to measure per-cycle energy consumption and the calculations required to determine the energy factor of low power residential gas clothes dryers.
1.2
This Standard applies to compact size and standard size gas clothes dryers for use in residential applications.
1.3
This Standard does not apply to the construction and performance safety of residential gas clothes dryers.
